Shielded arc-blasting device for isolator with cutoff under load, including a blasting tube 3 with parts delivering a gas under the action of heat from the arc, and a rapid-break mechanism composed of a system with rocking lever including a first lever 10 articulated to one end of the switching rod 12 and received at the other end in a straight guide 11, and a second 1ever 15 articulated approximately to the middle of the first lever 10, connected to the drive crank 14, a tension spring 16 constituting the rocking spring, being arranged between a fixing 17 integral with the casing 20 and the end which can be displaced in the straight guide 11 of the first lever 10.
