PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material attaining high transfer density close to that attained by processing at room temp. even when processed at a low temp. and having high dye releasing efficiency and high light resistance by adding a specified compound releasing a diffusible yellow dye. CONSTITUTION:To a photosensitive material is added a compound releasing a diffusible yellow dye represented by formulaI, II where Q is CN, CF3, -CONY<3>Y<4>, -SO2NY<3>Y<4> or -COOY<6>; Q1 is H, halogen, -SO2NY<3>Y<4>, -SO2Y<5>, -COOY<6>, -CONY<3>Y<4>, (substituted)alkyl, (substituted)alkoxy or a group represented by formula III; Q2 is CN, CF3, -SO2Y<5>, -SO2NY<3>Y<4>, -COOY<6>, -CONY<3>Y<4> or halo gen; Y is a redox center which releases the diffusible dye by self-cleavage caused by a redox reaction; each of Y<3> and Y<4> is H, (substituted)alkyl, aryl or the like; Y<5> is (substituted)alkyl or aralkyl; Y<6> is (substituted)alkyl, phenyl or halogen; q is 0 or 1; J is sulfonyl or carbonyl; Z is H or (substituted)alkyl; and each of R and R<1> is a group of atoms required to complete a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring . Thus, the transfer efficiency and light fastness of the photosensitive material are enhanced. |
