PURPOSE:To obtain conjugated yarn having improved adhesiveness to polyester yarn, etc., readily cutting properties, capable of providing flexible nonwoven fabric in spite of high strength by bonding a specific polymer as a thermally bondable component to the outer periphery of a high-melting polyester component. CONSTITUTION:A blend of a modified olefinic polymer consisting of (A) a (meth)acrylic acid lower alkyl ester, (B) an aliphatic unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (anhydride) (preferably maleic anhydride) and (C) an olefin and a low- melting copolymer polyester having <=170 deg.C melting point is bonded to the outer periphery of a high-melting polyester component having >=200 deg.C melting point to give the aimed yarn. A crystalline polyester comprising >=50mol% based on total acid components of terephthalic acid, <=40mol% isophthalic acid and >=80mol% based on diol components of hexamethylene glycol is preferable as the low-melting polyester. Polyethylene terephthalate is preferable as the high-melting polyester. |
