The subject of the invention is a fastening device, particularly for fastening an electric heating appliance to a wall, characterised in that it consists of a backing formed of a strip 1, particularly a metal strip, provided with means for fastening to the said wall 2 and provided at one end with a turned over part 1b including means 5 to 7 for supporting, retaining and tilting the appliance 4 and, at the other end, a turned over part 1c including unlockable means 11, 13 to 16 for retaining the appliance, the latter being provided, on its face pointing towards the wall, with slits 9, 17 for the engagement of the said means 5 to 7; 11, 13 to 16 made on the said turned over parts 1b, 1c of the backing 1.
