PURPOSE:To prevent engine from overheating and overcooling by controlling a radiator fan according to cooling water temperature while flowing cooling water through a radiator installed outside a soundproof liquid tank which houses an engine and a muffler. CONSTITUTION:An engine body 2 of a diesel engine E is housed in a noise-proof liquid tank 3 filled with water, together with a muffler 21 connected to its exhaust pipe 9, and a radiator 4 is installed outside the liquid tank. A cold water pipe 19 and a hot water pipe 20 are led out from a cylinder jacket 5a and a head jacket 6a of the engine body 2, respectively to allow them to discharge in the liquid tank 3. Additionally, upper and lower tanks 34, 36 of the radiator 4 are made to communicate with the liquid tank 3 via hoses 35, 37 to circulate the water in the liquid tank 3 through the radiator 4. A radiator fan 38, which is installed near the radiator 4, is controlled according to the output of a temperature sensor 41 which detects water temperature in the liquid tank 3. |
