The drill rod has an end bore 10 which is provided for accommodating a drill bit 4. In the end area of the drill rod, the bore 10 has a widened section 11 with a square inner profile which is provided for the rotationally locked connection of a corresponding square section 7 on the push-in pin 6 of the drill bit 4. The push-in pin 6 of the drill bit 4 inserted into the receptacle of the drill stem sits with its square section 7 in a positive-locking manner inside the widened section 11 and is supported with its cylindrical pin part 8 inside the bore 10. <IMAGE>
