<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate shipment adjustment for promptly responding to demands in the market by a method wherein the title device is provided with non-volatile data memory elements and a circuit capable of switching various terminal functions according to information in the non-volatile data memory elements. CONSTITUTION:One type of devices are produced using one masking set and, just before shipment, or in some cases when the products are put into service after shipment, data are written in the built-in non-volatile data memory elements for electrically changing the pin functions for the production of two types of devices. With devices being grouped into two types just before shipment, shipment adjustment may be easier in a great degree and demand in the market may be promptly met.</p> |
