PURPOSE:To obtain the color filter having a good picture element shape and smooth film surface by pressing an ink film via a smooth stock of the surface having the energy lower than the surface energy of said film, then drying and curing the entire part of the film. CONSTITUTION:The colored ink film 2 is formed to a pattern shape on a glass substrate 1. While a flowability as ink is maintained in the ink film 2, a thin film 2'' is formed on the surface of the part in contact with the substrate surface 1 and the ink film 2 and thereafter, the film is pressed. Since the spread 2' of the ink is suppressed by the thin film 2'', the collapse of the picture element shape 5 is minimized. The entire part of the ink film is thereafter heated and is polymerized and cured by UV, EB, etc. The above-mentioned stage is repeated a prescribed number of times. The color filter having the good picture element shape and the smooth ink film surface is thereby obtd. |
