<p>PURPOSE:To change a piano which does not produce good sounds to a piano which produces well penetrating and harmonized sounds by increasing the tension of the sounding board of the piano in such a way that screws are installed to supports and sounding bars are pressed against the supports by means of the screws. CONSTITUTION:After screw holes are provided in the supports 2 by adjusting the locations of the holes in connection with the sounding bars 1, the sounding bars 1 are tightened to the supports 2 by means of screws, with stiffening wooden pieces being put between them and attention being paid so that the sounding board 3 cannot be damaged. Thus the tension of the sounding board 3 can be increased. When the sounding board 3 is tensed in such way, the individual sounds in the middle and low registers become well-mellowed and the individual sounds of high-pitch tones can have moderate volumes and penetration and as a result, the chords become dulcet and sonorous.</p> |
