PURPOSE:To enhance the freedom of the arrangement of a suspension device comprising a trailing arm by attaching a leaf spring between a vehicle body and a trailing arm so as to allow the leaf spring to produce a spring force when the trailing arm is deformed. CONSTITUTION:A trailing arm made of a carbon steel plate or a FRP material is slidably supported, at its forward end, to a vehicle body through the intermediary of a bushing 2, and is connected, at its rear end, with a wheel support 3. A leaf spring 5 made of a spring steel plate or a FRP material is coupled to the forward end of the trailing arm through the intermediary of an eye-ball part 1. With this arrangement, the trailing arm 1 is deformed upon a bump or a rebound, causing the leaf spring to produce a spring force exhibiting a damping function. Thus, it is possible to enhance the freedom of the arrangement of the suspension device and to reduce the affection by variations in geometry. |
