<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the overload of a current and the rush of voltage surge and protect a circuit by providing fuse means and a three-element voltage surge restraining means. CONSTITUTION: An insulating housing has opposing upper and lower faces, end faces and side faces, and four openings on the bottom face to be separated and matched with each other. The first to fourth slots are provided in the bottom face so that the matched slots can communicate with the corresponding openings. The same conductor contacts 52, 54 and differently shaped load contacts 56, 58 are stored in the slots. In addition, fuse means 62, 64 and a three-element voltage surge restrainer 66 are provided in the housing and connected to the corresponding contacts 52, 54, 56, 58. An earth contact means 60 which is also provided to electrically connect the restrainer 66 thereto is extended outward to the housing via the slots. The means 62, 64 protect an overcurrent and the restrainer 66 protects the rush of voltage surge to ensure protection of a circuit from transient voltage and a leak current.</p> |
