PURPOSE:To perform numerous deflections continuously or an abrupt deflection by causing boosting coils to accumulate energy. CONSTITUTION:The 1st boosting coil 1 for generating a high voltage to be applied across the 1st drive circuit from a DC power source 18, the 2nd boosting coil 2 for generating a high voltage to be applied across the 2nd drive circuit, and a current control circuit 4 which makes the sum of the 1st deflecting current I+ and 2nd deflecting current I- almost constant are provided. Since the two boosting coils 1 and 2 are used in such way, charging and discharging of energy alternately occur in the boosting coils 1 and 2 even when abrupt changes in deflecting signals take place numerous times. Thus an abrupt deflection can be performed even when the deflection signals abruptly change. |
