PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of strokes in a control cable by installing one dynamic damper formed of an elastic body on one of the component parts of the control cable. CONSTITUTION:In a control cable system, if vibration from a vibration source is added to a control cable, a dynamic damper D make such a movement in vibration frequency in the vicinity of its resonance point as to absorb the vibration of the control cable to reduce the vibration of the control cable. The vibration of the members connected to the control cable is also reduced thereby. For example, if a pore is formed through the center of a rubber damper D1 at the same time when the damper is formed in a tubular form, the damper can be fixed only with a screw bar 20 screwed into the pore. Besides the characteristic frequency of the damper can be varied by the shaving-off of its rubber body to vary its weight and/or its rigidity. The same can thus be easily tuned to the resonance frequency of a body being vibrated. |
