In this method or device for separating cards, such as cheque cards or identity cards, the card to be separated is in each case first moved into a separating groove, as a result of which it passes out of the region of a stop holding the stack. The card which is pre-separated in this way is subsequently completely lifted off the stack by means of a suitable removal device. In this way, cards can be separated in a very reliable and gentle manner. ……
