A proximity switch for firing a hollow charge, particularly for a mine, comprising an electric resonant circuit having a cylindrical coil, characterized in that the cylindrical coil (5) of the resonant circuit is disposed between the metallic hollow body (3) of the hollow charge and the target and is provided with electrostatic shielding means (6) and on that side which is remote from the target is non displaceably connected to and electrically insulated from a coaxial ferrite ring (7).
