To facilitate the introduction and removal of products into and from an insulator (10), the wall (12) of this insulator comprises an upper part (16) and a lower part (18), which are able to be separated completely with respect to a section of the insulator. To this end, the upper part (16) comprises a flexible wall (24) which forms a skirt whose lower end covers the upper edge of the lower part (18). The leak-tight connection of the two parts may be obtained in particular by inflating an inflatable seal (36) which is mounted in a groove (34) formed in a rigid part of the lower part (18). The seal (36) then comes into leak-tight contact with a non-extensible belt (26) which is fixed at the lower end of the flexible wall (24). <IMAGE>
