<p>A tab portion (2) of a folded tab terminal comprises a first layer (12) and a second layer (14). The first layer (12) has a rabbet (16) exposing a length (9) of the second layer (14), the length (9) having been pressed into the rabbet (6) so as to be bisected by the central longitudinal axis (X) of the tab portion (2). A sleeve (8) of spring tempered metal comprising opposed, identical latching tongues (10) is welded about the exposed length (9). As the exposed length (9) is bisected by the central axis (X), the tongues (10) are located in precise symmetry with respect to that axis (X).</p> |
