PURPOSE:To accurately and efficiently use preserved picture data by recording dummy data as picture data on a recording medium when the picture data read out of an auxiliary memory device is decided as missing data by a missing judging means. CONSTITUTION:A computer 10a fetches and image-processes the picture data observed from a geostationary meterological satellite 20a at every sampling time, and stores it sequentially in a decided area at every sampling time on a magnetic disk device 30a. And the data is transferred and recorded on a cartridge tape 40a that is a semipermanent recording medium from the device 30a at every prescribed time. At this time, the computer 10a sets the initial value of a file No at '1' stored in the device 30a at a time when a recording time arrives, and reads head data with a file No (i), and when judging the file (i) as the missing data from the head data, records the dummy data on the tape 40a. |
