PURPOSE:To contrive higher magnetic characteristics by applying a magnetic field in a specific direction during forming in wet forming raw material fine powder and producing an MO.etaFe2O3 (M is Ba, etc.) based oxide magnet of a specific composition containing SiO2, etc. CONSTITUTION:A composition, expressed by the general formula MO.etaFe2O3 (M is one or more of Ba, Sr and Pb), having >5.2-<=6.0 molar ratio (eta) and containing one or more of 0.1-0.6wt.% SiO2, 0.5-4.0wt.% Al2O3, 0.2-0.8wt.% CaO and 0.5-4.0wt.% Cr2O3 is pulverized and formed to produce an oxide permanent magnet. A slurry fine pulverized powder having about 0.5-1.5mu fine pulverization particle diameter is formed by applying a magnetic field at about 2,000-12,000Oe in the direction almost perpendicular to the compressing direction in the above-mentioned method. Orientation degree of the compact can be improved by the afore-mentioned method to meet demand for much higher magnetic characteristics increasing in various fields. |
