<p>A sterilizing apparatus (5) for sterilizing a hollow prism-shaped carton opening at both ends. The apparatus comprises: a sterilizing station (7), a drying station (10), and a solution-removing station (9) located between the sterilizing station (7) and the solution-removing station (10). The solution-removing station (9) has a solution-removing device (30) which rotates intermittently in synchronism with the conveyor means (19) of the sterilizing station (7) and the drying station (10). The device (30) has a plurality of thin and long mandrels (31) extending in the radial direction and spaced apart at regular intervals. Each mandrel (31) supports a carton and has a nozzle (33a). The aseptic air supplied from an aseptic-air source is applied by the nozzle (33a) into the carton.</p>
