An einem Spindelstock (11) ist ein drehantreibbarer Werkzeugkopf (12) gelagert, durch den zu verarbeitende Werkstoffstangen (35) hindurchschiebbar sind. Der Spindelstock (11) ist zwischen einer hinteren Vorschubvorrichtung (57) und einer vorderen Spannvorrichtung (25) angeordnet. Die hintere Vorschubvorrichtung (57) ist zum stetigen Vorschieben jeweils einer Werkstoffstange (35) bis zur Spannvorrichtung (25) hin ausgebildet und in eine zum Aufnehmen einer weiteren Werkstoffstange (35) bereite Stellung bewegbar, ehe die vorangegangene Werkstoffstange (35) verbraucht ist. Die vordere Spannvorrichtung (25) ist zum Spannen eines durch den Spindelstock (11) und Werkzeugkopf (12) hindurchgeschobenen Bereichs derWerkstoffstange (35) und zum Ausüben einer vorwärtsgerichteten axialen Zugkraft auf diese ausgebildet und ist mittels eines eigenen Vorschubantriebs (27) unabhängig von der hinteren Vorschubvorrichtung (57) axial hin- und herschiebbar. Damit wird erreicht, daß der Ersatz einer verbrauchten Werkstoffstange (35) durch eine neue auf einfache Weise, mit geringem Zeitaufwand und ohne Unfallgefahr, möglich ist. Abstract A tool head (12), through which the bars of material to be shaped (35) can be inserted and which can be set in rotation, is mounted on a spindle head (11). The spindle head (11) is arranged between a rear feed device (57) and a front clamping device (25). The rear feed device (57) advances each bar of material (35) continuously to the clamping device (25) and can move to a position for picking-up the next bar (35) before the previous bar (35) is used. The front clamping device (25) clamps the region of the bar (35) inserted through the spindle head (11) and tool head (12), exerts a forwardly directed axial traction force on the bar and can be moved to and fro axially by means of its own feed drive (27) independently of the rear feed device (57). It is thereby possible to replace a used bar of material (35) by another, easily and repeatedly and without risks of accidents. |
