PURPOSE:To keep sufficient electrode area even discharge cells are arranged to be minute by composing the portion corresponding to the exposed area of the first electrode as a protrusion. CONSTITUTION:A gas discharge type panel is restricted by two substrates 11 and 31 facing each other and a partition wall 29 arranged in the partition forming area 13b. The first electrode 19 composed of the covering area 41 where a fluorescent material is formed and the exposed area 23 which is exposed to the discharging space 37 and the second electrode 35 arranged to face the first electrode 19 are provided in the plurality of the discharging space 37 which are filled with discharge gas, respectively. In this case, the exposed area 23 of the first electrode 19 is formed as a protrusion 39b. Therefore, even discharge cells are arranged to be minute, the electrode area can be kept sufficiently. |
