<p>PURPOSE: To achieve high power conversion in feedback converter operation by extending the core part having open end parts, projecting from respective windings to define an air gap between them, over the width of the winding. CONSTITUTION: A U-shaped core 1 having two core parts 3 projecting from the base part 2 supports coils 4 each comprising a required winding being inserted closely to the base part 2. The projecting core parts 3 extend substantially over the width of respective coils 4 and the windings and the extending end parts 5 define an air gap 6 between. A magnetic force circuit completed remotely from the coil 4 passes through the air gap 6 and the lines of magnetic force is shown by dot lines 7. Consequently, high power conversion can be realized through feedback converter operation while avoiding saturation of core material.</p> |
