PURPOSE: To select the traffic fault in a specified place from transmitted from numerous multiple pieces of traffic information, so as to display it by storing the traffic sign which is characteristic to a region of a limited geographical area in a storage device by means of providing common identifying signs in it. CONSTITUTION: The storage device 12 is so constituted as to permit a storage field 16 to be address-designated with an address (d). The storage field 16 is divided into a storage place 18 for location names (a), a storage place 20 for the traffic sign which is characteristic of another location, for example, Autobahn with a running number or a federal road and the storage place 22 having an area-identifying sign (c). In this case, the only single area identifying signs (c) is assigned to the respective location names (a). Therefore, rough or minute dividing can also be executed in this case. Hence, traffic information concerning the traffic faults in the selected locations are displayed, regardless of the driving route taken which has been presented to a driver. |
