DRIVING CIRCUIT AND DISPLAY DEVICE USING SAME

PURPOSE:To secure an action in the area of safe operation(ASO) of a Darlington connection NPN transistor and to obtain a driving circuit having a sufficient current driving capacity by switching the number of the steps of a Darlington connection. CONSTITUTION:In a sink side switch composed of Darlington connected NPN transistors 71-73, a base current supply source is provided at bases 72 and 73 of the NPN transistor behind the intermediate step except a first step NPN transistor 71. At the time of discharging a picture element 10, the control of a sink side switch 7 is executed with the base current supply source. Thus, the action in the ASO of a Darlington connection transistor is secured and a driving circuit to bring out the current driving capacity to the maximum is obtained.
