发明名称 MAGNETIC HEAD FOR PERPENDICULAR MAGNETIC RECORDING
摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease magnetic resistance in a magnetic head and to improve recording and reproducing efficiency by forming a soft magnetic thin film on a nonmagnetic slider, for which mirror grinding is executed, and bringing this thin film into surface-contact with the ferrite cores of a main magnetic pole and a return pass part. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic slider 4a on one surface, a slider 4b in the tip part of the other surface and a second ferrite core 2a in a bottom part are attached in a sandwich part with a soft magnetic thin film 3 as a center. Then, a main magnetic pole part 1 is constituted. This main magnetic pole part is integrated into the channel of a ferrite core block 2, which forms the return pass, and an exciting coil 6 is arranged around the main magnetic pole 1. Then, the magnetic head is constituted. Thus, a magnetic flux 7 to be generated in the coil 6 is concentrated in the tip part of the thin film 3 and the magnetic resistance in the middle of operation is decreased. Then, the magnetic resistance is made small in the surface contact respectively for the core 2a, block 2 and thin film 3, further, the thin film 3 is formed on the single slider 4a and the degradation of a magnetic characteristic can be evaded.
