PURPOSE:To make both the cooling and heating comfortable with respect to temperature distribution by joining a heat exchanger unit with each of an upper outlet unit and a lower outlet unit or by connecting these units, placed separately, by means of a duct. CONSTITUTION:An indoor apparatus 10 comprises a heat exchanger unit 11, an upper outlet unit 14, and a lower outlet unit 17. Where the temperature distribution does not matter much in installing one, the three units can be joined by bolts 22 into one body. But, where the temperature distribution must be handled circumspectly, the upper outlet unit 14 is separated from the heat exchanger unit 11, whereas the lower outlet unit 17 and the heat exchanger unit 11 are embedded in one body in an interior wall 24; the upper outlet unit 14 is embedded in an upper part of the interior wall 24, and the indoor apparatus is assembled with a duct 25 connecting the upper outlet unit 14 to an upper outlet-connection opening 21b in the heat exchanger unit 11. In cooling with such an assembly, the cool air is emitted from the outlet 16, which is located at an uppermost position in the room 26, while a lower outlet blower 18 is at rest, and in heating, the warm air is emitted from the lower outlet 19 at a lowermost position in the room 26 while an upper outlet blower 16 is at rest. |
