PURPOSE:To obtain the subject substance having antibiotic effect against yeast and mold, by culturing a cynerazol-producing stain of genus Aspergillus in a medium. CONSTITUTION:A synerazol-producing SANK 10588 strain belonging to genus Aspergillus is separated from soil. The strain has bacterio-logical properties such as columnar conidial top having green to dark green color; forming a colony of about 50mm in diameter by culturing on a Czapek agar medium at 25 deg.C for 7 days; etc. The strain is inoculated in a liquid medium containing glucose, meat extract, etc., and cultured at 20-30 deg.C and weakly acidic to neutral pH condition for 150-200hr under aeration and agitation. The cultured product is extracted and purified to recover an antibiotic substance synerazol expressed by the structural formula and having the following physical and chemical properties. Solubility, soluble in fat; specific rotation, [alpha]D<25>=+22.9 deg. (C=0.55, chloroform); molecular formula, C22H23NO7 (by high-resolution mass-spectrometry); molecular weight, 413 [by FAB-MS method, (M+H)<+>=414]; ultraviolet absorption spectrum, lambdamax=251.5 and 285nm; etc. |
