<p>PURPOSE:To always keep the floating level of a magnetic tape at a fixed value and to attain stable recording/reproducing by switching an upper drum to a stopped state or a rotating state in accordance with the different rotational frequency of a rotary magnetic head part of the same rotary magnetic head device. CONSTITUTION:Rotation transmission switching means 24, 25 are driven in accordance with the rotational frequency of the rotary magnetic head part 8 of the same rotary magnetic head device so that the upper drum 1 can be switched to the stopped state or the rotating state. Even in case of changing the rotational frequency of the magnetic head part 8, the floating level of the magnetic tape can be always kept at the fixed value, so that recording (or reproducing) can be executed by the always stable magnetic head 8 and the stable traveling state of the magnetic tape 4 at the outer periphery of the drum 1 can be obtained. Consequently, recording (or reproducing) can be always attained by the stable magnetic head.</p> |
