PURPOSE:To provide a gelatin film, having low moisture permeability, high physical strength and suitable as a packaging material for powdery seasoning, powdery bathing agent, etc., by adding a saccharide as a moisture permeability improver to gelatin and forming a film. CONSTITUTION:Gelatin and saccharides are mixed in a solution state. Glucose, fructose, maltose, honey, etc., are used as the saccharides. A gelatin film is produced by a method for applying the resultant mixture to a mold, roll, etc., cooling and drying the applied solution to form a film, peeling the formed film, etc. The obtained gelatin film has lower moisture permeability than that of a film consisting only of gelatin with hardly any deterioration in physical strength even without using a reinforcing material. Since the gelatin is soluble, a package prepared by packaging with the afore-mentioned gelatin film can be used without breaking the film. |
