PURPOSE:To reduce wiring resistance of imaging cathode-mother wiring, improve aperture efficiency of imaging cells and increase the area of the imaging cathode by constituting one main section of the side wall of each imaging cell with the imaging cathode bus. CONSTITUTION:A gas discharge panel comprises plenty of imaging cells 15 each having an imaging cathode composed of one portion of an imaging cathode bus 143 and an imaging anode 12b composed of one portion of an imaging anode-mother wiring 12. The main portion of one side wall 141 of each imaging cell 15 is constructed with the imaging cathode bus 143. Thus, the planned formation space of a partition wall 14 between the cells to be the side wall of the imaging cells can be used for forming the imaging cathode bus 143, whose film thickness is made to be thicker than conventional ones and also the side wall can be used to form the imaging cathode. Accordingly, resistance of the imaging cathode bus is reduced, aperture efficiency of the imaging cells is improved and the area of the imaging cathode is increased. |
