PURPOSE: To provide a device capable of making a response corresponding to an event with light energy in real time by applying a pulselike electric signal having the pulse repetition frequency variable in response to the size of the event. CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted of a light source 10, a power source 20 and a pulse generating circuit 16 generating pulselike electric signals having a pulse repetition frequency variable in response to the size of the event. The power to be supplied to the light source is controlled by the pulselike electric signal, so that intensity of the light energy is varied corresponding to change of the size of the event as well as varied in real time. For instance, assuming that the light source 22 is a brake lamp of a vehicle, and the event is the brake- pedal depression by an operator of the vehicle, the pulse repetition frequency of the pulselike signal becomes a maximum when the brake-pedal is depressed and the power is successively supplied to the brake lamp, and when the foot of the operator is released from the brake pedal, the pulse repetition frequency of the pulselike signal becomes a minimum and the power is not supplied to the brake lamp. In this way, the light can be made to respond to the event in real time. |
