PURPOSE:To reduce the time to take up the paper tape and to increase the using efficiency of a paper tape take-up device, by starting the take-up of the paper tape with the detection signal for the end of perforation and tape reading to take up the paper tape independently of the input and output operations. CONSTITUTION:A data control part 1 of a paper tape input/output device M transfers data to a tape device 3 and then checks whether the perforation or reading of the tape are over. When the end is detected for the perforation and reading of the tape, the part 1 transmits the signal to a tape control part 2 and a tape take-up control part 4. Thus the part 4 receives the detection signal to drive a tape take-up part 5. Thereafter the part is kept away from the part 1 until the take-up is over. When the take-up is through, the part 4 stops the part 5 to prepare for reception of the signal of the part 1. |
