PURPOSE:To obtain the photosensitive body having high sensitivity, small residual potential and excellent durability by forming the photosensitive layer on a substrate of a carrier generating layer consisting of a specific bisazo compd. and a carrier transfer layer of a specific hydrazone compd. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is formed by laminating the photosensitive layer 4 consisting of the carrier generating layer 2 and the carrier transfer layer on a conductive base 1. The layer 2 consists of the bisazo compd. expressed by formula I (X1, X2 denote an alkyl group, alkoxy group, etc., contg. a halogen atom; (p), (q) are 0-2 integer; A is the group expressed by formula III; (m), (n) are 0-2 integers). The layer 3 consists of the hydrazone compd. expressed by formula II (R1, R2 are an alkyl group or aryl group; A2 is an arom. cyclic hydrocarbon group; n2 is 1-2 integer).
