PURPOSE:To view the state of an image from above and to easily set the position of an editing lever by moving an illumination lamp for exposure to the position of the editing lever in stand-by mode and lighting a document from below for a certain time. CONSTITUTION:When thermal color copying operation is made ready, 1st and 2nd levers 101 and 102 are slid to specify a black-and-white copy area and a color copy area; and a lever lighting mode selection key is pressed and then a scanner 40 moves to the 1st lever 101 and 2nd lever 102 in order, so that the exposure lamp 41 illuminate for the constant time set in a timer at the respective positions. Consequently, the document which is turned over and set nearby certain positions of the 1st and 2nd levers 101 and 102 is lighted from below and its image can be viewed from above; and the positions of the 1st and 2nd levers 101 and 102 can be set correctly to the position of the image of the document during the period. |
