The subject of the present invention is a mould for making polystyrene components, especially models for a lost-foam moulding method, by sending a jet of steam over the entire surface of one of the walls of the mould and penetrating right through the said mould, characterised in that the said mould is made of a porous material, especially a metallic porous material, obtained by sintering.
