The invention consists of a device giving an improvement to electrical appliances intended for shaving facial hair. It comprises a tubular foil 1 containing the cutting blades 2, it being possible for the unit to roll over the skin of the face, thus allowing a "closer" shave of the facial hair. A shaft 8, secured to a central mounting plate 4, drives the cutting blades and can at the same time rotate freely on its axis, being entirely supported on three bearings 13, 14 and 15. The bearings 13 and 15 are themselves carried by ball bearings 16 and 17 whilst the bearing 14 is automatically orientable with respect to the line of the shaft 8. A double-acting thrust ball bearing 9 provides the transmission with the drive source. <IMAGE>
