Method for erecting a cardboard fabrication 1, tool 15 for performing the method and cardboard fabrication 1 for use in the method. When the fabrication 1 is pressed down into a mould chamber 18 by means of a ram 17, its end walls 5 are raised in that only its corner areas 9 are pressed against opposing guide faces 19 formed in the chamber 18 and held between these faces and counter- supports 23, 24 projecting from the ram, whilst the end walls 5, assuming a position essentially perpendicular to the base 2, also bend outwards due to the flexibility of the cardboard fabrication to assume a convex shape for the expansion and oblique positioning of insertion apertures 10 punched out of the fabrication, so that locking flaps 8 on corresponding adjoining side walls 4 can be quickly and easily inserted and locked by means of locking tongues 11 in the insertion apertures 10 for finally fixing the cardboard fabrication forming the cardboard tray in the erected position. The tool is designed to erect the fabrication by means of first opposing guide faces 19 and further opposing guide faces 20 and a ram 17, which can be depressed in the chamber 18, so that the ram presses the fabrication down at the same time as the side and end walls 4, 5 of the fabrication are interlocked with one another. <IMAGE> |
