The invention relates to a tube delivering a beam of charged particles and to a method of controlling such a tube.
<??>In this tube, including an envelope made from a dielectric material and a structured yoke formed on the inside surface of the envelope, the yoke includes two orthogonal pairs of deflecting electrodes H<+>, H<->, V<+>, V<->, serving to deflect a beam of charged particles in two orthogonal directions, the said pairs of deflecting electrodes having different circumferential girths and receiving different polarizing voltages.
