Cylinder cover for a piston internal combustion engine

In the operation of a piston internal combustion engine with a non-self-igniting main fuel and an additional ignition fuel, one of the two fuels is injected by way of peripheral injection nozzles (6) arranged rotationally symmetrical to the cylinder axis, whilst the second fuel is injected as usual through a central nozzle (7). In this way a symmetrical distribution of the fuels in relation to the cylinder axis is achieved in the combustion chamber (5) without the need for complex nested constructions of two injection nozzles.
