The invention relates to a street lamp consisting of a pole and at least one horizontally arranged supporting arm for the lamp or lamps which is fastened to said pole and is statically supported by an auxiliary arm. It is the object of the present invention to create a simple retrofitting possibility and a street lamp that can be easily retrofitted. The invention consists in that the supporting arm is accommodated together with its pole-side end by a recess of a split ring which surrounds the pole and is fastened thereto, in that the auxiliary arm is formed by a tube that is lengthened by a straight piece and bent to form a quarter circle and is fastened to the pole with its straight piece by means of bolts, and in that the supporting arm and auxiliary arm open offset in height with respect to one another into a tubular part of the housing of the lamp.
