PURPOSE: To raise the manufacturing speed, and improve the manufacturing efficiency by fitting a terminal to a free end of one wire during the time when the other wire, to which a terminal is already fitted in a free end thereof, is fed and cut at a desirable length so as to form a wire segment. CONSTITUTION: A wire supplying mechanism 20 feeds one of two wires alternately through a wire cutting and strip mechanism 26 and a wire connecting mechanism 27 on a conveyor. During this time, a wire arranging mechanism 22 feeds a free end of the other wire to a terminal fitting mechanism 24A so as to fit the terminal. After the one wire is fed by the desirable length, the wire is pinched by a conveyor clamp 86A, and a wire segment 12A at the desirable length is cut, and the wire arranging mechanism is turned so as to feed a new cut free end of the wire to the other terminal fitting mechanism 24B for fitting of terminal. During this time, the wire supplying mechanism feeds a free end of the other wire, to which a terminal is not fitted yet, through the wire arranging mechanism, cutting of wire, the strip mechanism and the wire connecting mechanism. |
