PURPOSE:To obtain an interior member such as a ceiling liner or the like for an automobile, which has a flat surface and a satisfactory external appearance and which is excellent in strength, by bonding a porous material impregnated with a polyhydric isocanate compound on one or both surfaces of a base material. CONSTITUTION:A ceiling liner or another interior member for an automobile is composed of a base material and a porous material impregnated with a polyhydric isocianate compound, which is bonded on one or both surfaces of the base material. A corrugated board or the like is used as the base material, and a soft foamed polyurethane material or the like is used as the porous material while paraphenylene disocianate or the like is used as the polyhydric isocianate compound. Further, upon manufacturing the interior member, the porous material is superposed on the base material before the polyhydric isocianate compound being completely hardened, and they are bonded together by hardening the compound. With this arrangement, it is possible to obtain an interior member having a flat surface and a high strength. |
