<p>A cop tube, in particular a composite cop tube, has a protective ring (4; 20; 29) at at least one end rigidly connected by either interlocking or frictional engagement with the tube body (1). The protective ring (4; 20; 29) is designed as a solid rotating body which is not plastically deformed by the impact-induced stresses to which the cap tube is subjected in use. The protective ring (4; 20; 29) is made of ceramic, plastic, metal, rubber or a rubber-like material. Elastic deformations are permissible.</p> |
