An arrangement in a liquid absorbent member (1) with spacers (2) for use in boxes (A) for freight of moisture liberating products (B), where the spacers (2) of absorbent member (1) support a product supporting surface (C) with drainage apertures (D) to maintain a space (E) between bottom (F) of the box, and the product supporting surface (C) and, thus, to prevent compression of the absorbent member (1) which consists of a cloth or sheath (1a) pervious to liquid and comprising a liquid absorbent material. Cloth (1a) is at its two opposite edges (1b, 1c) connected with trough-shaped spacers (2a) having walls (2b, 2c) which diverge from the bottom (2e) of trough (2a), and where one trough wall (2c) has an outwards extending flange (2d) to be attached to edge (1b, 1c, resp.) of cloth (1a), e.g. by stapling. The trough-shaped spacers (2a) are stackable in one another, so that absorbent members (1) with spacer members (2) may be stored on top of one another with a minimum build-up height, which saves storage space, and reduces costs for transport to user. |
