<p>A mechanism for inserting and withdrawing a plurality of printed board units (20) into and from the interior of a box type shelf (10) having a plurality of connectors on a backboard, which mechanism is formed so as to enable the printed board units (20) to be inserted into the shelf (10) with a small force, these printed board units (20) to be locked so that they do not come off after the completion of the insertion thereof, and the complete insertion of the printed board units (20) to be confirmed by the sounds occurring when the printed board units (20) are locked, and by visual checking. This mechanism includes an elastic lock arm (26) fixed at its base portion to a printed board unit (20) and having a flexible free end portion, a lever (25) having a cam surface (30) operating the lock arm (26), connected pivotably to the printed board unit (20) and adapted to insert and withdraw the printed board unit (20) into and from the shelf (10), and a locking means (17) formed on the shelf (10) and adapted to enable the lock arm (26) to engage the locking means (17) in a fixed position. The lever (25) is formed so that it assumes a predetermined rotational posture in a position in which the printed board units (20) are inserted completely into the connectors, and a position in which the printed board units (20) are withdrawn completely therefrom.</p> |
