A tank of rubberized fabric, e.g. for transporting fuel by air, Fig. 1 (not shown), has one or more baffles 20 secured to its inner wall at an angle normal to the directions of surge of liquid in the tank. The baffle, formed of rubberized fabric, comprises passages 31 of decreasing cross-sectional area, the larger ends of the passages facing alternately in opposite directions. The curved parts of the passages are formed by a strip 24 stitched to a base strip 21 by nylon thread which passes through grommets in each strip, Figs. 3 and 5 (not shown). Free longitudinal positions of the base strip are secured to the inner wall of the tank. In a modification, Fig. 7 (not shown), the passages 31 are constricted half way along their length. |
