<p>A large number of small through-holes (3) are formed uniformly in both the longitudinal and transverse directions on a sheet-like screen (1) and optical fibres (2) are buried and fixed into those through-holes (3) so that the light-emitting end portion of each optical fiber faces outward and their light-receiving end portions are bundled to a submultiple or reduced size with one-for-one arrangement correspondence to the light-emitting end portions to form an original screen (4a) on the outer surface. Furthermore, a pattern display plate (5) equipped with a light-transmissive pattern and a single light source (7) for emitting the rays of light to the display plate (5) are disposed in front of the original screen (4a), thereby forming a light-emitting display system using the optical fibers in accordance with the present invention. When the rays of light are sent to the original screen (4a) from the light source through the pattern display plate, an image having a multiplied or magnified size appears on the screen.</p> |
