PURPOSE:To facilitate the attaching and detaching of an insert and to automatize its replacing work, by moving said insert in the direction orthogonal to a parting line and putting it into the insert fitting part of a mold body. CONSTITUTION:Inserts 11, 12 to be attached on a mold body 4, 8 are held with the arm of a robot, moved horizontally from left to right and T-clamp members 23, 29 are joined with the tip ends of the T-grooves 24, 30 of the inserts 11, 12. Thereafter, the piston rod 21 of a hydraulic cylinder 19 is moved upward to pull up the insert 11 while the piston rod 28 of a hydraulic cylinder 26 is moved downward to pull down the insert 12, and then these inserts 11, 12 are smoothly placed into the insert engagement parts 13, 14 without difficulty. The inserts 11, 12 are moved in the direction orthogonal to a parting line PL and put into the insert engagement parts 13, 14 which have the shape and size suitable to the insert 11, 12, to attach them to upper and lower mold bodies 11, 12 with a predetermined positioning precision. |
