The lorry has stakes (12') which can be removed individually from the supporting frame for a tarpaulin and, for this purpose, are provided with a length-adjusting device with which an upper part (16) of the stake (12'), which is mounted such that it can be displaced in the manner of a telescope in the stake (12'), can be adjusted to a sufficiently far extent that the upper part (16) is released from a supporting strut (13) of the supporting frame and the stake (12') can be lifted together with its insertion base (33) out of an insertion holder on the vehicle platform (15).
